People PNG images: men, women, children and families

Pictures of people make designs feel human. A smiling person next to a headline, a professional pointing at a chart, or a family on a holiday flyer gives the viewer someone to identify with, and that is often what makes them stop scrolling.

Images of identifiable people come with extra responsibility. Use them in ways the person would reasonably expect, avoid suggesting they endorse a product, and never place them in sensitive or misleading contexts.

Tips for designing with people PNGs

Let the gaze lead

Viewers look where the person in the image is looking. Place your key message in their line of sight.

Crop with intent

Head-and-shoulders cut-outs work best for thumbnails and profile-style layouts; full-body images need more space and suit posters.

Respect the person

Do not use photos of real people to imply endorsement, testimonials or sensitive situations. Our guide to using free images responsibly explains why.
